How to use this calculator

Savings tab: Input the initial balance of your account and the amount you plan to contribute to your account each year.

Details: Input the % you plan to increase the amount you contribute to your account each year, the number of years until you retire, and the % you expect to earn on your investments. 

Understanding the results

After you choose Calculate, you'll see a chart of your projected future balance. 

  • The blue portion shows the balance you started with.
  • The yellow portion shows how much you put into the account over time. 
  • The green portion shows how much of your final balance could be from your compounded earnings.
